Annotation: This article discusses the problems encountered in translating Arabic terms on sports into Uzbek and the optimal solutions to these problems, the use of metaphors in the translation of sports terms, translator transliteration, translation equivalence, connotation and other issues in translation and processes are discussed and illustrated with examples.
