Annotation: Münif Pasha, a prominent intellectual and legal figure in 19th-century Turkish culture, was one of the statesmen of the Tanzimat period. He was a proponent of innovative educational concepts. Münif Pasha, who also taught at the then Faculty of Law, shared his views with the public in numerous articles on history, philosophy, legal philosophy, law, sociology, geography, geology, and pedagogy in the journal Mecmua-i Fünûn. His aim is to make the people accept modern sciences. Furthermore, he explored fundamental questions of legal philosophy in his book Hikmet-i Hukuk. In this work, he deals with topics such as law, philosophy of law, and natural law.
