Annotation: This article provides a philosophical analysis of the harmony of religion, reason, and freedom as one of the essential conditions for the sustainable development of human civilization in the 21st century. Based on the concept of the “Dialogue among Civilizations” proposed by Sayyid Muhammad Khatami, the study examines issues of intercultural understanding, interaction among civilizations, and the formation of a just global order. The article also analyzes the negative consequences of opposing religion to reason and separating freedom from spiritual values. It argues that genuine progress can only be achieved through the harmonious integration of religion, reason, and freedom. Particular attention is given to Khatamiʻs concept of the “two books” — the Book of Nature and the Divine Revelation — both of which are understood by human beings through reason. The study emphasizes that civilizational dialogue, mutual respect, recognition of cultural diversity, and the principle of justice are essential foundations for establishing a stable and just global order.
