Annotation: This article is devoted to the translation of the story of the Turkish writer Haldun Taner “adventure on a motor ship”. The translation was carried out by the article author. The article separately discusses the skill of the translator, the language being translated, that is, the provision of an alternative in the Uzbek language of words related to certain areas of the Turkish language. In addition, there is an opinion about the specific complex aspects of the translation work.
