Author: Nazrullayeva, Gulnoza Karimbek qizi

Annotation: In the context of globalization, gender equality is recognized as a key indicator of societal development. Gender issues are shaped not only legally or socially but also through cultural and communicative processes. Mass media plays a crucial role in this, as it influences people’s worldview, values, and behavior. In Indian media — films, TV series, and advertisements — male and female characters are portrayed through language, which can reinforce or challenge gender stereotypes. This article analyzes how lexical, grammatical, and stylistic features of Hindi shape gender representations, and explores how contemporary Indian media reflects gender equality ideas and their impact on public consciousness. The results are significant for promoting gender equality through media and for selecting and analyzing media materials in educational contexts.
