Annotation: Internationalization of higher education is a key element of national strategies to achieve national and international goals and priorities. Internationalization at the university level is the process of turning a national university into an international one, including an international aspect in all components of university management in order to improve the quality of teaching, research and achieve the required competencies. This study examines the internationalization of higher education in Uzbekistan, focusing on state educational policy from three aspects: the transformation of curricula, the emphasis on academic activities and international cooperation. After becoming independent from Soviet Union, educational reforms have been continuously implemented in the country in order to provide education that is appropriate to the changing times and the needs of the people. Since 2016, the higher education sector Uzbekistan is undergoing significant changes. More than half of the population of Uzbekistan is youth, and the education sector needs to be given much attention for the development of the country. For Uzbekistan, the establishment of an advanced and appropriate education system will be a solid path to the future.
