Annotation: The article analyzes China’s new satellite megaconstellation and orbital artificial intelligence initiative. The national program “Guo Wang” aims to create a global network of around 48,000 interconnected satellites, providing global internet access and forming the infrastructure for orbital AI platforms. The study highlights the project’s strategic, technological, and geopolitical implications, discussing technical capabilities, global cooperation opportunities, and potential risk scenarios. The article underscores the emergence of space-based computational networks as a key element of China’s global technological strategy.
