Annotation: Kutadgu Bilig is one of the most important works of Turkish history. This work is not only a literary text but also a philosophical text. The concept of kut in the work has been the subject of examination by many researchers. In the research, they simply interpreted this concept as happiness, but the word kut has a meaning far beyond the meaning of pure happiness. Yusuf Has Hacip, who wanted to build an ideal state and society, interpreted the word eudaimonia, which appeared in the texts of Ancient Greece, with the word kut. Therefore, kut is the definition of happiness that occurs with well-being. The aim of this study is to ensure that new generations who read Kutadgu Bilig understand the work correctly. Conceptual analysis method was chosen for the analysis. In the first part of the study, social conditions in Central Asia are mentioned. Later, the word kut and why this word was misinterpreted were emphasized. Finally, it was explained what the concept of kut actually means.
