Annotation: The current article is modest attempt to acknowledge the significant role of language in the cultural diplomacy, which is a comparatively new concept but an old phenomenon in the international relations. Historically, powerful countries often saw themselves as the guardians of cultural diplomacy for establishment of relations between states and nations. Considering Lingua Franca’s rise and fall in the human communication history across the boundaries, the paper emphasizes the influential languages of Western and Eastern worlds as well.
