In the novels of the Ming period, in particular, in the novel "Water Margin", the characters work in various professions and positions in society, and this type of lexemes can be a separate object of research as a specific part of the lexicon of the period. The lexical analysis of this group is important because it provides information about the lexicon of the period in general. Within the scope of this article, analyzes of the lexical-semantic and formation of profession and job nouns in the novel "Water Margin" were carried out.
