Annotation: I met Muhammad Yusuf, the great poet of the Uzbek people, the singer of independence, on July 31, 1975, at a bus stop near the GUM shopping center in Tashkent. Coming from the village, on the last day of applying for admission, I was wondering where to apply, when I saw a tall, dark-haired, curly-haired young man about to board bus number 35. I asked him where this bus was going. He told me that the last stop of the bus was the Republican State Institute of Russian Language and Literature. He also said that he was a second-year student there, and that the institute and its teachers were very good. I took a risk, went to the institute with him, and applied. That same year, I entered the institute.
