Annotation: Teaching a foreign language is a complex and multifaceted process that includes teaching all aspects of the language. The process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is one of the main priorities for linguists, including sinologists. Vocabulary is the link between phonetics and grammar, and it is closely related to the learning outcomes of students. Therefore, the study of vocabulary is an integral part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. However, the study of methods of teaching Chinese vocabulary as a foreign language is not given as much attention as phonetics and grammar. Therefore, from the point of view of vocabulary teaching methods, there are basically three teaching methods: the perception method, the contextual method and the extension method, which helps teachers of the Chinese language in teaching vocabulary to students.
