Annotation: In 2018-2020, the study of Chinese science fiction further developed at the speed of "steppe fire". During this period, a number of science fiction discoveries were made, new research institutions and publishing platforms were established, academic publications and articles were created, and several international awards were won.There are four major breakthroughs in Chinese science fiction from this period: research on Liu Qing and The Three-Body Problem, document publication and database creation, research on artificial intelligence, and the academic approach to the COVID-19 virus.These not only prove that the trend of "breaking the circle" is becoming more and more evident in fiction, but also show the concern of science fiction scientists for society.In this article, we will study the development of science fiction in China during this period.
