Annotation: This article discusses the Punjabi language, one of the most developed languages of India and Pakistan, the history of its emergence, the types of writing and the place of this language in India and Pakistan, the extent to which this language has developed in both countries, and the differences in writing. Along with this, the issue of the status of Punjabi language among other languages of India and Pakistan will be highlighted.
