Annotation: This article is devoted to the problem of artistic translation of the poem "Kutadgu Bilig" (Blessed Knowledge) by Zhusup Balasagyn (or Yusuf Balasaguni, Yusuf Balasagunsky) into Turkic languages. The poem reveals the artistic originality of the heritage of Zhusup Balasagyn and, in particular, examines the issue of belonging of this heritage to one or another Turkic-speaking people. Also, a comparative analysis of the Uzbek, Uyghur, Kazakh, Turkish, Kyrgyz versions of the poem is carried out, including the Urumqi edition of this work, published in the Kyrgyz language, in Arabic script (in the translation of Chinese Kyrgyz). Comparison of translations makes it possible to much more deeply and comprehensively reveal the artistic features of the immortal poem and evaluate the quality of translations in different Turkic languages.
