Annotation: The paper examines the specifics of Japan's public diplomacy in North African countries. The author focuses on the key instruments of Japanese diplomacy, among which cultural and educational initiatives, economic cooperation and humanitarian assistance stand out. These instruments play a significant role in strengthening Japan's ties with the countries of the region. Special attention is paid to Japan's cooperation with Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, as well as the challenges facing Japanese diplomacy in the region, including competition from China, the EU, Turkey and the United States. In conclusion, the prospects for the further development of Japanese public diplomacy in North Africa are considered. The author emphasizes that in order to successfully promote Japan's interests in this region, it is necessary to take into account local realities and actively interact with other international players in order to find common interests and opportunities for cooperation.
