Annotation: This article comprehensively examines the issues surrounding the development of intercultural communication competence in the teaching of Eastern languages. Recognizing the growing role of cultural factors in language education amidst globalization, the author proposes a harmonious combination of communicative and linguocultural approaches. The article analyzes the results of empirical research conducted at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and offers specific methodological recommendations for enhancing the teaching process.
