Annotation: The article is devoted to the analysis of the relationship between fate, free will and happiness in the philosophy of J. Balasagun, one of the greatest thinkers of Medieval Kazakhstan. The work examines how these categories interact in the context of his work "Kutadgu Bilig" and what philosophical ideas underlie the understanding of human life and its meaning. The article examines how free choice affects the achievement of happiness as an internal state of a person. The article concludes that in Balasagun's philosophy, happiness is not the result of external circumstances, but is achieved through moral choice, awareness of responsibility and harmony with oneself and the world around us.
