Annotation: The article shows that in the VI-VIII centuries Central Asia was distinguished by religious tolerance. Its population professed Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Christianity, Manichaeism and shamanism. Islamic creeds were introduced from the end of the 7th to the beginning of the 8th centuries, where a split into Kharijites, Sunnis, and Shiites occurred. In the era of the Eastern Renaissance, a set of philosophical teachings is being developed, which is commonly called Arabic philosophy.
