Annotation: In our presentation, we will try to shed light on the life of the thinker Tahir Çağatay, who was born and raised in Tashkent, Old Turkestan, today’s Uzbekistan, and his contributions to the development of the science of Sociology in Turkey. Tahir Çağatay is one of the important thinkers who devoted himself to science under the most difficult conditions of the period. He understood the importance of education at a young age, and despite his family's tragic and difficult life under Soviet rule, he managed to study abroad in Germany in 1922. However, Tahir Çağatay, who immigrated to Turkey with the start of the Second World War, lived in this country until the end of his life and struggled with his contributions to the science of sociology in the social and economic development of both the people of Turkestan and the people of Turkey. In our study, we will try to underline the importance of his struggle and indicate his contributions.
