Annotation: This article discusses happiness and unhappiness (catastrophe) in phraseological units reflected in the time-honored traditions, values and customs of the Chinese people and the coming together of these two opposing concepts are analyzed. Luck is a share, and misfortune is the absence of a share, or one can be represented by similes such as serious and bitter, and the other can be seen as light and sweet.
