Annotation: Idioms in the Chinese language occupy an indelible position in the Chinese language and culture. It is a dictionary with typical Chinese features, collected and formed in long-term social practice. Students who know Chinese as a second language may find the process of learning Chinese idioms more difficult. We face problems with teaching idioms in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This article analyzes the current state, necessity and current methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in order to promote the development of idiom teaching in Chinese as a foreign language and to better promote the traditional culture of China.
