Annotation: The article "Historical Geography of 1920–1924 (Based on the BNSR and KNSR)" analyzes territorial and political changes in the Turkestan region during the early years of Soviet rule. The study examines the formation of the borders of the Bukharan People's Soviet Republic (BNSR) and the Khorezm People's Soviet Republic (KNSR), the transformation of administrative-territorial divisions, economic zoning processes, population distribution, and migration movements. The work is based on archival documents, cartographic materials from the period, publications in the central and local press, and regulatory acts reflecting the specifics of early Soviet administrative reforms. The article details changes in the territorial organization of the BNSR and KNSR under the influence of Sovietization policies, the creation of new administrative units, the development of infrastructure and transportation routes, and the demographic factors that influenced the ethnic and spatial distribution of the population. The obtained results allow us to reconstruct the political and geographical appearance of the region in 1920–1924 and present the early stages of Soviet territorial policy in Central Asia through the prism of historical and geographical analysis.
