Annotation: The article examines the paraphrases in world linguistics, including Uzbek linguistics, its beauty and attraction, on the basis of a number of theoretical perspectives is one of the factors determining the width our mother tongue. There is given the reflection of periphrasis which is a complex natural phenomenon, the history of its study, the theoretical aspects of the study of periphrasis in Uzbek linguistics, its connection with similar phenomena, its common name in general philology, its place in the world of language and speech, its place in the world of language, semantic-structural types, typological features of peripheral compounds which have been researched widely.
