Annotation: This article provides a scientific analysis of the role and significance of non-governmental, non-profit and public organizations in the system of social protection of the population. The theoretical foundations of social protection, mechanisms of social partnership between the state and civil society institutions, as well as the participation of the non-governmental sector in the provision of social services are examined. Based on the experience of Uzbekistan and international practice, the effectiveness of non-governmental organizations in supporting socially vulnerable groups, existing challenges and prospects for their resolution are analyzed. The conclusions of the article are of practical importance for improving social policy and strengthening the social protection system.
