Annotation: This article deals with the establishment and development of the structural approach in linguistics. It should be noted that structuralism is difficult to define as a direction or trend: it is difficult to distinguish between structural linguistics, linguistic structuralism, French structuralism and post-structuralism, to identify fundamental sources and periodization. This factor can explain the choice of topic and the relevance of the study.
