Annotation: The article examines the current problems of legal regulation and protection of the rights of subjects of sports legal relations in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The features of the legal status of various categories of subjects of sports activities are investigated, the current state of Uzbekistan's legislation in the field of sports and its compliance with international standards are analyzed. Gaps and contradictions in legal regulation are identified, ways to improve mechanisms for protecting the rights of athletes, coaches, sports organizations and other participants in sports relations are proposed. Special attention is paid to the issues of resolving sports disputes and the development of sports arbitration in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
