Annotation: Philosophical- esthetic essays in eastern and western literature are compared in the article. Similar and different aspects of essays on historicaland social topics in world and Uzbek literature are discussed. Another noteworthy aspect of the article is that in the artistic and philosophical essays of Camus and Cholpon, the concept of historical hero is classified according to its essence and the human being is recognized as the main hero.
