Annotation: Using the example of Samarkand, the article examines the main aspects of the development of architecture and urban planning during the time of Amir Temur. The processes of construction of majestic buildings and urban infrastructure facilities of that period are analyzed. It also shows the main areas of activity carried out during the years of independence to ensure the security of architecture during the period of Temur and the Timurids.
