Annotation: This article talks about the history and development of the design industry in Uzbekistan, taking as an example an exhibition called "New Olds", which was held in 2021, at the Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan. The works of artists that were exhibited at the exhibition are analyzed. The article examines the design of the west and compares it with the design of Uzbekistan. The boundaries between design and arts and crafts are discussed. Issues related to the benefits of holding international exhibitions are considered.
