Annotation: The article analyzes aspects of civil law, economic and legal liability for failure to fulfill contractual obligations in the Romano-Germanic and Anglo-Saxon systems. As well as their role and significance, signs as a source of law in the countries of Romano-Germanic and Anglo-Saxon (common) law. The author believes that in the countries of the Romano-Germanic legal family, liability for failure to fulfill contractual obligations should be considered as an atypical source of law.
