Annotation: In this research work, we talked about the concept of intertextuality, its types, characteristics, the introduction of this phenomenon into modern linguistics and its research. We talked about the importance of intertextual units in the correct understanding of the literary text by the reader and in understanding the original content of the text. We focused on the phenomenon of allusion, one of the intertextual units, and explained the similarities and differences between this phenomenon and the art of talmeh in fiction.
