Annotation: The article aims to reveal the character of Borbad Marvazi, a musician, musicologist, master and creator of the word, a historical and legendary person who lived in the 6th-7th centuries. Almost all famous historians, poets and musicians of the Middle Ages described Borbad Marvazi in their works as an exemplary person. Why did the Persian and Turkic peoples glorify Borbad Marvazi so much?
