Annotation: The article presents an analysis of control parameters and methods of determining control modes of an electric-hybrid vehicle. There are many control strategies that have been developed and presented. Most of these are extensions of hybrid electric vehicle driving strategies that do not maximize the true potential that PHEVs offer as a result of their ability to operate in electric-only mode over significant distances. Modern control strategies are reviewed and classified in detail in this article. PHEV controllers mainly operate on rule-based or optimization-based algorithms, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Also discussed is the overview of controllers and the analysis of which strategy is most suitable to increase the efficiency of PHEV under different driving cycle conditions.
