Annotation: This article analyzes the Compton effect and its relationship to the quantum nature of light. Within the framework of wave-particle duality, the theoretical and experimental foundations of Compton scattering are examined, demonstrating its incompatibility with classical electromagnetic wave theory. The increase in X-ray wavelength due to photon-electron interactions is explored from a quantum mechanical perspective, with mathematical formulations derived from Compton’s equations. The fundamental significance of this phenomenon, particularly in the context of high-energy radiation and particle physics, is discussed.
