Annotation: This article examines the current issues of gender studies of language, namely the problems faced by researchers in this field, as well as the concept underlying this direction. The author analyzes linguistic structures and practices, their reflection of gender inequalities and their impact on the formation of gender identity. The article presents the methodology of gender studies of language, including various methods of data collection and analysis, as well as a concept that combines socio-cultural, critical and intersectional approaches to understanding the relationship between language and gender.
