Annotation: Urban prose is literature in which the city, as a conditional background, a specific historical and literary color, existing living conditions, occupies an important place and determines the plot, themes and problems of the work. In the late 1960s and 1970s, a powerful layer of literature was defined, which began to be called "urban", "intellectual" and even "philosophical" prose. These names are also conditional, especially because they contain a certain opposition to the "village" prose, which turns out to be devoid of intellectuality and philosophy.
