Annotation: The issue of inparallelism as a type of scientific phenomenon, linguistic parallelism is studied in the article, also the function of discrimination of different linguistic meanings in the Uzbek and English languages are analyzed. Besides, it is concluded that on giving any linguistic meaning (category) the language moves towards dominating certain method/means due to neutralization of other ones.
