Annotation: At present, one of the main issues in ensuring the safety of trains in the joint-stock company "Uzbekistan Railways" is the reliable fastening of trains to prevent them from leaving the station as a result of spontaneous movement of trains. The scientific article outlines the criteria for ensuring the safety of rolling stock on station roads using the methods currently available and identifying the shoes needed to secure them. In addition, an analysis of the technology of operation of mechanized and automated fastening devices used to prevent the spontaneous departure of rolling stock in the CIS and abroad. Also, proposals and solutions have been developed that can improve the performance of mechanized and automated fastening devices at the railway stations of JSC "Uzbekistan Railways".
