Annotation: The development of the media and the press in India is closely related to many aspects of the state, society and culture. The most popular newspapers in India, including the Jansatta (Janata Satta) newspaper, have a special place. The newspaper is known not only for its coverage of political and social issues, but also for its unique approach to gender issues. In this article, using the example of coverage of gender issues in Indian magazines, we aim to analyze the specific features of the Jansatta newspaper. We will determine what features of the texts exist in covering gender, analyze the ideas covered in the Indian press about gender equality and stereotypes, and consider issues related to the newspaper itself and its journalistic style.
