Annotation: The category of modality is one of the important signs characterizing the general content of the speech, and indicates the speaker's attitude to this content, that is, his attitude to reality, his understanding of it. Modal words (lat. modalis- measure, usul) are words that mean the speaker's different attitude to his opinion and serve to express the clarity, truthfulness, doubt or conditionality of his opinion.
