Annotation: This article examines the representation of time categories in the process of translation between English and Uzbek. Time as a linguistic category plays a crucial grammatical and semantic role in structuring reality in language. The study focuses on the ways English tense and aspect forms are rendered in Uzbek translation, as well as on the impact of structural and functional differences between the two languages on the translation process. Based on contextual examples, the article analyzes the interpretation of time categories and the selection of appropriate translation equivalents. The findings of the research are relevant to the fields of comparative linguistics and translation studies.
