Annotation: This article provides a comparative analysis of external sources about the philosophical group Ikhwan As-Safa, which operated secretly in Basra in the 10th century, a small amount of information about themselves in treatises considered their scientific heritage, as well as unique personal information about some members of the group. The process of group admission and the descriptions of levels within the team are also briefly described.
