Annotation: This text provides an overview of feminists in the Russian language. Feminitives are forms of feminine nouns derived from masculine or generic words. The text describes the mechanisms of formation of feminives through the addition of special suffixes to the original masculine word. It presents the most common suffixes used to form feminives in the Russian language, such as “-ka/-chka”, “-itsa”, “-sha”, “-ina”, “-essa”. The variety of mechanisms for the formation of feminives in other languages and their connection with the sociocultural and historical characteristics of society is also noted. This text provides a general overview of the formation of feminine nouns in Russian, enriching the understanding of the grammatical aspects of the formation of feminine forms of nouns.
