Annotation: The desert zone of the Republic of Uzbekistan, occupying a significant part of it, includes territories ranging from its southeastern and eastern foothills to the western and northwestern borders. The Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm and Bukhara regions are located in these territories. In addition, a significant part of Navoi, the western part of Kashkadarya, the southern part of Surkhandarya and the central part of Fergana regions also belong to the desert zone
