Annotation: The article discusses the role of the investigation, which is the basis of pre-trial criminal proceedings, the importance of proper resolution of issues in the criminal case, the types and grounds of investigation, it also reflects some shortcomings in national legislation and a comparative analysis of these issues with international experience.
