Annotation: The article deals with the ways of introducing regionally oriented vocabulary in the prose of S. Borodin “Stars over Samarkand”. The relevance of this study is due to the recent increased interest in the problems of regionalism, the subject of the study is the language of the regions, characterized by a distinctive territorial coloring.
