Annotation: The topic examines slogans in newspapers, their linguistic and cultural features and role in shaping public opinion. Slogans as a special type of headlines use laconic, emotionally charged and expressive phrases. These language constructions perform several functions: they attract readers' attention, convey key ideas of the material and shape attitudes towards news and events. Linguistic and cultural analysis of slogans reveals their relationship with historical, social and cultural contexts. In different countries and cultures, slogans can reflect national values, stereotypes and current socio-political realities. Features of the language used to create slogans can indicate the degree of information policy of publications and their bias. The study examines methods for creating effective slogans, their stylistic features and typical techniques such as alliteration, rhyme, wordplay and metaphor. It also examines the differences in approaches to creating slogans in leading newspapers of Western and Eastern cultures. The findings are based on an analysis of a large array of examples from different time periods and regions, which allows us to trace the evolution of newspaper slogans and their role in modern media.
