Annotation: This theoretical and analytical article examines the life and activities of the enlightenment-oriented Jadid intellectual Mahmudkhoja Behbudi. The study analyzes his journalistic works aimed at protecting his nation and liberating society from ignorance. Based on his articles published in periodicals such as Turkiston Viloyatining Gazeti, Khurshid, and Hurriyat, the paper explores Behbudi’s views on national identity, self-awareness, education, and social reforms. The results of the study highlight Mahmudkhoja Behbudi’s significant role in shaping Jadid ideology and his historical importance in the process of national awakening in Turkestan.
