Annotation: Speech is the basis of all mental activity, a means of communication. Students’ skills of comparison, classification, systematization, and generalization are formed in the process of acquiring knowledge through speech and are also reflected in speech activities. A student’s logically clear, evidence-based, figurative oral and written speech is an indicator of his or her mental development. This article gives you a brief overview on phonetics in school textbooks.
